Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach is with Pforzheim University since 1995, heading the Display Lab which was founded by him. The Display Lab (www.displaylabor.de) focusses on applications of electronic displays and is dedicated to applied R&D. The main R&D activities are on display metrology, driving and systems (evaluation) resulting in many talks, papers and projects (from both, public and industrial funding sources). K. Blankenbach started his displays career as an engineer at AEG's display division at Ulm, Germany, which at that time belonged to DAIMLER, working on display electronics and LCDs. He had studied Physics at the University of Ulm where he also received his PhD. Prof. Blankenbach is organizing chairman of the electronic displays Conference, speaker of the display group within the VDE/ITG (Information Technology Association) and member of the board of the DFF (German Flat Panel Forum).
